October 30th to December 4th Waiting list being taken, email to join the list Come learn Alla Prima techniques for painting the portrait. Alla Prima means paintings done in one session. Noah will show you classical techniques for painting a realistic portrait. Noah will teach the use of plumb lines, comparative measurement, and tilt angle to find correct proportions. Noah will show how he mixes colours and talk about how he thinks about colour when painting. Working from live clothed models, you will learn how to start your painting, see and record shapes clearly and simply, and model form by carefully observing the properties of light. You will work on a new painting each class. Lots of demos and individual instruction! All levels of experience welcome but some drawing experience recommended. Max of 8 students. Cost $315
